As a dedicated, self-taught professional artist, I paint my paintings with meticulous care, starting from the background. The laborious process of faithful representation sometimes takes months to finish. Since the attention to detail is paramount, the medium is oil on canvas.

If you ask me-as an artist what style of painting do I mainly and lovingly work in? The answer would be Portraits.

The immersion in portrait works led to figure painting. Now, the penchant of detailing was not just limited to the display of subtle expressions. Employing the similar style, the subjects of my paintings vary from the elegance of classical European themes to rural lifestyle of India; the rich culture, high traditions, and earthed customs. But that’s not it. As an artist, I would like to contribute to my field. That’s why the theme I’m currently working on is a visual narrative of the past of the city, which is very close to my heart. The idea is to revive the culture and heritage of Lucknow in the form of paintings.
